"Welcome one another, therefore, just as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God." - Romans 15:7

Welcome to the Orthodox Church! The One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Orthodox Church is the oldest Christian Church on earth, and St. Sophia is proud to be one of the oldest Christian churches in downtown San Antonio.

Through this web site we are pleased to introduce you to worship and fellowship at St. Sophia ("Holy Wisdom"). Our Divine Liturgy on Sundays preserves the ancient way of Christian worship, profound and mystical, and Spirit-filled. Visitors are welcome to the services. On Sundays prayer begins at 8:30 with Orthros ("Matins"), followed by the Divine Liturgy at 10 am. On Saturdays we prepare with Great Vespers at 6 pm. Weekday services may be found on the calendar.
